What we're working with (and what we're saving for)

Our Equipment

Great lawns start with great machines. Here's a look at the equipment we use every day and the upgrades we're working toward to keep delivering the best results for your property.

Husqvarna Z248F Zero-Turn Mower
Primary Mower

Husqvarna Z248F

48" ClearCut™ Fabricated Deck • 21.5 HP Kawasaki FR Series • Hydro-Gear ZT-2200

This is the workhorse — a Husqvarna Z248F zero-turn with a 48-inch ClearCut fabricated steel deck and a 21.5 HP Kawasaki FR Series engine. She's fast, she's precise, and she has way more hours on her than any reasonable machine should.

If this mower could talk, it would probably ask for a vacation. Maybe a beach somewhere. Possibly a retirement community for lawn equipment in Florida. But instead, she fires up every morning, doesn't complain (much), and stripes your lawn like she's still fresh off the showroom floor.

The engine? Bulletproof Kawasaki — still purring. The deck? Husqvarna's ClearCut — 48 inches of welded 10-gauge steel that cuts clean every time. The hydros? Well... that's where things get interesting.

Upgrade Needed: Hydrostatic Transaxles

The Hydro-Gear EZT transaxles (model ZC-DUBB-8D8C-2WPX) are the hydraulic drive units that power each rear wheel independently — they're what make a zero-turn actually turn on a dime. After hundreds and hundreds of hours of hard use across Rhode Island and Southeast Mass yards, ours are getting tired.

You might notice it as slightly sluggish response, uneven tracking, or the occasional "I'll get there when I get there" attitude from the machine. It still works — she's tough — but fresh hydros would bring back that snappy, responsive feel and keep her running strong for years to come.

We need a matched set (left + right) to keep the mower tracking straight. That puts the total at:

~$1,644 for a matched pair (2 units)

Good Shape

Trimming & Edging

String Trimmer • Edger • Blower

The supporting cast. These get used on every single job and are currently in good working shape. Regular maintenance keeps them running right — new line, air filters, spark plugs, and the occasional pep talk.

Good Shape

Blades & Maintenance

Regular sharpening • Seasonal tune-ups

Sharp blades mean a clean cut, and a clean cut means a healthier lawn. We sharpen or replace mower blades regularly throughout the season and do full tune-ups (oil, filters, belts, grease) to keep everything in top shape.

Equipment Fund

Help Keep the Wheels Turning

We're a small, local operation — just Sean, the mower, and a whole lot of yards. If you've enjoyed the service and want to chip in toward keeping the equipment in top shape, any contribution goes straight into the fund. No account needed, no strings attached.

Think of it less like a donation and more like buying the mower a coffee. Or, you know, a $1,644 pair of hydraulic transaxles. Same energy.
